Scholarships range from $10,000 to $20,000 and are awarded at the time of application, so no other application is required (except for the Ambassador Scholarship, please see below). All scholarships are renewable each year (up to 4 years total) subject to satisfactory academic progress.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) scholarship is awarded to freshman applicants who complete the IB Program (Diploma or Certificates) through the senior year of high school and who have a 5 out of 7 grade point average on their higher level (HL) courses. The scholarship is valued at US $15,000 per academic year and is renewable each year (up to 4 years total). Scholarships are guaranteed to all students who meet the requirements!

The A-level scholarship is awarded to freshman applicants who have completed at least 3 A-Level Examinations through the senior year of high school and who have a B grade point average. The scholarship is valued at US $15,000 per academic year and is renewable each year (up to 4 years total). Scholarships are guaranteed to all students who meet the requirements!

The International Ambassador Scholarship is Central’s most prestigious award for international students. A limited number of scholarships are awarded to selected international undergraduate students (new freshmen and new transfers) who wish to serve as International Student Ambassadors. The scholarships are awarded by the admission office scholarship committee. The value of the scholarship is US $20,000 per academic year and is renewable each year (up to 4 years total).
Students must complete 20 hours of service per semester and earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the scholarship to be renewed.
Iowa Sister States is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1985 to manage Iowa’s official relationships with foreign states, as established by the Governor of Iowa. Central College is pleased to offer all eligible resident students from Iowa’s nine sister states (as listed below) a US $15,000 per academic year scholarship award. The scholarship is renewable each year (up to 4 years total). To be eligible for the scholarship students must meet all scholarship requirements as outlined below.

Additional notes: The Iowa Sister States Scholarship cannot be combined with any academic merit scholarship nor with the International Student Ambassador Scholarship. If a student is eligible for multiple scholarships, the student is advised to accept the highest yielding scholarship.
