Leslie Duinink has been an instructor at Central College since 1998. Her undergraduate training was in history and secondary education, but time spent as an athletic training student sparked an interest in athletic training. This led to graduate school in athletic training. She spent four years as a first assistant to an orthopedist and surgical tech before coming back to Central as an assistant athletic trainer.
Since that time she has become a tenured member of the factulty teaching in athletic training, exercise science and liberal arts studies classes. She has also served as head athletic trainer for eight years and is now serving as dean of the class of 2017. Her hobbies include sewing, reading and gardening.
