Gain work at an internship in art, business, political science, marketing, theatre, social services and more. Internships build transferable skills that relate to your academic interests and career goals.
Your first two weeks of the program will consist of classes, activities and excursions providing you with a firm understanding of UK life and its workplaces. For the remaining six weeks, you will work full-time at your internship placement Monday–Thursday and attend class one evening each week where you examine and discuss your experiences in Britain. All internships are non-salaried, for credit only, and are recommended for undergraduates as well as recent graduates.
One of the world’s greatest cities, London, is at its best over the summer. Join the crowds at the Wimbledon Championships festivities, attend Glastonbury Music Festival or mingle with the rowers at the Henley Royal Regatta! Throughout your summer, plan to visit Greenwich, the Imperial War Museum, the Bank of England and the Globe Theatre. Past students have also experienced The Royal Ascot and polo matches.
Guaranteed housing in a residence hall at University of Roehampton offers students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a traditional British university setting. Students also cook their own meals—a great way to meet hall-mates and learn cuisine from the U.K. and around the world.
A guided tour of London is part of your required class. Also enjoy a day excursion to Stonehenge and the ancient Roman city of Bath, two West End theatre visits, a day trip to Brighton’s seaside and a meal at Tayyabs, London's favorite Punjabi restaurant.
