Mariah Brammer

After completing her sociology degree, Mariah Brammer became program counselor for ACR Homes, Inc., in Roseville, Minn.

How did you get started as a program counselor?

Mariah Brammer '14

“I applied for my job after my small group leader mentioned it — and learning it was voted the #1 company to work for in 2014, according to the Star Tribune. Now, I love bringing residents into the community through concerts, museums, zoos, libraries, movies, malls and more. The options are endless.”

How did you prepare for the job before graduating from Central?

“I learned more about myself than I could have imagined by attending and leading campus ministries events. I learned to put others first and to serve. I learned the importance of being a listener and being patient. And through the mission trips to Mission, Texas, I learned how to interact with other cultures and language barriers.”

What’s on your bucket list?

“I have a long list. To name the top few: sky diving, skiing in the Swiss Alps, witnessing a miracle, going to a barn dance and completing a triathlon.”
