Weddings

Planning a wedding is an exciting adventure filled with many choices and lots of decision making. Central College will personally attend to all of your needs from the perfect venue for the ceremony to a beautifully catered reception. The Chapel, with its dramatic sweeping ceiling and skylights or the famous bridge over the Central pond are wonderful locations for the ceremony. Central has multiple locations to hold your dream reception.

The Central College chapel is open to persons of all faiths and denominations. The Chapel comfortably seats over 200 guests. A German Baroque style organ and outstanding acoustics will enhance your event. Ample dressing areas are conveniently located in the lower level. Weddings can be arranged any time or day during the year. When you book your wedding you are also entitled to reserve a rehearsal time the night before.

Graham Conference Center offers a spacious layout for receptions up to 400 guests. The large atrium and Brunsting Fireside Lounge can accommodate guests for appetizers and beverages. Graham’s Harry & Bernice Vermeer banquet room and adjacent conference rooms can be set up for a catered dinner and leave plenty of room for a dance. You may select one of the rooms for pre- and post- wedding events. Reservations are accepted up to 18 months in advance.

The Maytag Student Center, Boat, Moore, Weller rooms offers reception space for up to 170 seated guests.  The atrium area with fireplace provides a wonderful setting for appetizers and beverages.

The Graham Annex Sutphen room is available for smaller receptions of fewer than 100 persons.  This intimate space is nice enclosed yet also opens up to the Bornt Plaza for those desiring an indoor/outdoor reception.
