PELLA—Central College climbed four spots to No. 10 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association Division III poll.

The Dutch took runner-up honors at the Iowa Conference championships last week, capturing six victories. Eli Horton (sophomore, Runnells, Southeast Polk) doubled up titles with wins in the 1,500 meters (3:53.3) and 5,000 meters (15:08.36).

Wis.-La Crosse inched up to No. 1, dropping Wis.-Oshkosh to No. 2. Wis.-Eau Claire is rated third while league champion Wartburg maintained its hold at No. 21.

Central sends a small contingent of student-athletes to the Wis.-La Crosse Last Chance Qualifier and North Central (Ill.) Gregory Invitational Thursday and Friday to improve potential qualifying marks for the NCAA Division III championships. The national meet is staged May 23-25 at La Crosse, Wis.
