Women's golf | March 5, 2013

PELLA—The Central College women’s golf team will host its third annual Dutch Cup Golf Tournament Sunday, April 21, a fundraiser at the Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella.

Played as a four-person scramble, the 18-hole tournament begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Awards will be given to the top team and winners of flag prizes, including closest to the pin and longest drive. An overnight stay and play package at Bos Landen will be awarded for a hole-in-one on a designated hole. A dinner, raffle and silent auction will take place after the tournament.

With a $75 entry fee per person, the tournament is limited to the first 18 teams. A registration form is available at www.central.edu/athletics/golfWomens. Deadline for registration is April 16. Super tickets are also available for $100 and include an additional five mulligans, two pick-a-putt, 10 raffle tickets and one keep it on the green. Those who don’t wish to participate in the tournament may sponsor a hole for $100 or attend the dinner for $10. Proceeds will benefit the Central College women’s golf program.

Central’s home course, Bos Landen, was given a four-star rating by Golf Digest. The par-72 layout measures 7,000 yards from the back tees and was named the top public course in Iowa four times.
