I chose Central because I really felt at home here. I had an immediate connection with the guys on the team and the coaches were really easy to get along with.
Favorite professor and why
I like taking classes from Dr. Pavlat. His classes are always interesting and he makes them a lot of fun. He is also a really smart guy so it is interesting to hear his point of view.
Why you love Central football
I love the tradition that we have here. Everyone is on the same page and is here for the same reason. I also love the friendships I have gained while being here.
The best part about being a receiver
Being on the outside, 1 on 1 with the corner and you know you have to make a play once the ball is in there air. Then the feeling you get when you do and you see the reactions of your teammates and the fans.
Favorite Central memory
It’s way to hard to narrow it down to just one, so I am just going to say spending the weekends on the football field or just being with my teammates having a good time.
Sporting event you’d love to attend
I would love to attend the Final Four. I cannot imagine the atmosphere there. If I did go, I would make sure I had floor seats too.
The thing you like best about your team
How well we all get along together. From the freshman up to the seniors, we all relate to each other really well.
One of your favorite books
Where the Red Fern Grows
What most people don’t know about Coach Jeff McMartin
Outside of the football team, a lot of people do not know that he is addicted to candy. But it is one of the sacrifices he makes throughout the football season.
The toughest part of practice
Constantly working on stalk blocking. It is something a lot of receivers do not like to do, but it takes a lot of practice to be able to do it effectively and we really focus on that.
Tattoo you’d pick if you had to get one
Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Person past or present you’d like to have lunch with
Jimmy Valvano. He was a great coach and had such a positive outlook on life.
Best part about being 6-5
I am a physical education major and when I go out to the elementary schools, all of the young kids look up to me like I'm a god or something and it is just really funny to hear what some of them have to say.
All-time favorite NFL player
Randy Moss back when he played for the Vikings in the 90s. He was a great player and made some unbelievable catches.
Teammate most likely to win an MMA contest and why
Keith Rush. The kid doesn’t feel pain and will do whatever it takes to win. And I’ve seen him bash his helmet against his head repeatedly so I think its safe to say he can take a couple punches.
Sit courtside at an LA Lakers basketball game.
Make enough money to give to Nolan Blythe so he can find a cure for cancer.
Be a head coach of a high school football/basketball team.
Be in the front row of a Bruce Springsteen concert and rock the air guitar all night!
