Join fellow RED members for a fun filled day in Des Moines!

We will start the day at The Des Moines Performing Arts Center, Iowa’s premier entertainment venue. The DMPA is recognized nationally for outstanding programming and ticket sales. Enjoy an exclusive presentation about the exciting things happening at The Civic Center in a program “Behind the Scenes of the Civic Center”. We will learn about Broadway shows from Broadway insiders and learn about the quality family and education programs. We will also receive a backstage tour of the facilities.

After the Civic Center, we will head to another Des Moines entertainment venue and historic home, Hoyt Sherman Place.

Nestled on the eastern edge of historic Sherman Hills District in Des Moines, Hoyt Sherman Place boasts one of Des Moines’ most magnificent entertainment, banquet and meeting facilities. Built in 1877 by prominent pioneer businessman Hoyt Sherman, the elegant family home has expanded over the years.  The building includes an impressive and elegant art gallery as well as a grand and historic theatre. We will enjoy a box lunch in the Art Gallery while we learn about the history. After lunch, we will tour the impressive facility.
