merida photo
In Merida there is always something fun to do around town, and all the great Mexican food you can eat! And the excursions were not only educational, but fun since we got a lot of down time to either explore the sites we were at or just relax with the people in our program.

financial aid

Our programs range in cost and students are able to use varying amounts of their financial aid package, depending on the policy of his or her home institution. Therefore, the real cost of your study abroad program is determined by your home institution and how much of your existing financial aid you are allowed to use for study abroad. We encourage you to meet with a financial aid officer at your home institution to determine your financial situation.

Ask these questions:

  • How much of my financial aid will apply to study abroad?
    • Federal
    • State
    • Institutional
  • Will my scholarships apply to study abroad?
  • Are there additional loans that I can apply for?

Please see our billing section to learn how to pay for a Central College Abroad program.

Apply, apply, apply — for additional scholarships. We are proud to offer scholarships to Central College students and students from our list of cooperating institutions. Additional scholarships are available for all students. See scholarships.

Please see the dates and fees section of each program page to learn what is included in the program cost.

Central College Abroad programs offer value added features that you won’t find with other student abroad programs such as:

  • Resident director
  • Extensive on-site orientation
  • Safe and comfortable accommodation
  • Guided cultural excursions
  • Personalized tutoring
  • Service-learning
  • Internships

These make for a richer study abroad experience; and the academic and cultural experiences, including internships and service-learning, are sought-after experiences in the workplace.
