| Central College provides language students numerous opportunities to learn and grow outside the classroom. Students can live in the Spanish Houses of the Wing International Center where they share a townhouse living environment with the Spanish-speaking language assistants and other students of Spanish. Students in the Spanish houses get to use their Spanish on a daily basis and participate in parties, movie nights and other activities in which Spanish is spoken. They also host the Spanish supper table in the cafeteria four nights a week, which all Spanish speakers are invited to join, and the annual Spanish House dinner. |

Both Spanish houses were completely renovated in the summer of 2005, with new carpets, windows, furniture and more. |

Spanish House Dinner
On March 1, 2005, approximately 140 people attended
the annual Spanish House dinner, which this year had
a Venezuelan theme. There was an "arepas" bar where guests
could fill these traditional corncakes with the fillings of their
choice and the typically Venezuelan dessert known as "Bien me sabe"
(which translates as "it tastes good to me"). Our Venezuelan language
assistant, Claudia Pozzobon, helped with the arrangements.
