Career Opportunities in Spanish

A major in Spanish can open many doors of opportunity for you, especially in combination with other marketable skills. Whether you want to teach Spanish, go to graduate school or law school, or work in the business world, social services, medicine or law enforcement, fluency in Spanish and an understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures will make you a valuable asset to many employers. Many graduates who take Spanish classes but don't major in the language also find themselves using their Spanish on the job, often when they never expected to, and then they wish they had studied more!
