Title of Position: Perkins Loan Officer

Central College invites applications for the position of Perkins Loan Officer. This position is directly responsible to the Controller for managing the College's Perkins and Institutional student loan program.

The Perkins Loan Officer is responsible for managing the Federal Perkins Loan program and monitoring adherence to federal regulations; conduct entrance and exit interviews with students regarding loan program; responsible for billing and collection of student loan payments and refer delinquent accounts to student collection agency when necessary; prepare loan information brochures and application forms; prepare materials for and assist with the decisions to approve or disapprove loans.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, preferred. One to two years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field. Prior experience in lending is a plus. Candidate must have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office programs. Excellent customer service skills required with ability to know and enforce policies while maintaining positive relations with Central College constituents.
