Title of Position: Educational Talent Search Coordinator, 9 1/2 month full-time

Effective November 1, 2006

Central College invites applications for the position of Educational Talent Search Coordinator. This position is directly responsible to the Director of Pre-College Programs for performing a variety of activities associated with the College's ETS program.

The Educational Talent Search Coordinator is responsible for visiting schools and meeting ETS participants. The successful candidate will prepare and present materials to ETS participants including postsecondary, financial aid, and career information; support planning and implementation of field trips and events; maintain communication with participants, parents, and target school counselors through correspondence and by telephone; provide academic, personal, group and peer counseling; conduct and particpate in recruitment activities and orientation workshops for new participants and parents; compile accurate and concise records of participants; attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development activities.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in education field plus one to two years of effective experience.
