POSITION: Assistant Professor of Business Management

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, tenure track appointment beginning August 2009.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in marketing, business administration or related field is preferred; an MBA with significant teaching experience will be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will teach introductory marketing and management courses, upper division marketing courses and the Strategic Management capstone course. The normal course load is 21-23 semester hours per year. Potential applicants should be committed to undergraduate teaching and have an understanding of and appreciation for the liberal arts environment.

DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS/ACCOUNTING/BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:  The departments of economics, accounting and business management consist of four distinct majors: accounting, economics, international management, and business management. In collaboration with the math/computer science department, the department offers an interdisciplinary major in management information systems.  The department has nine full-time faculty: three in economics, two in accounting, and four in business management. Business management is the largest major in the department, and offers emphasis areas in six different fields: finance, marketing, business administration, business education, not-for-profit management, and business economics.

Central College is a residential liberal arts college guided by an ecumenical Christian tradition, serving over 1600 students.
