Joe Brummel is in his thirteenth year as chaplain at Central College for the 2012-2013 academic year. Originally a detective, Joe felt called to pursue a degree at New Brunswick Seminary where he earned his Master’s in Divinity. He pastored churches in near Holland, Iowa and Prairie City, Iowa before joining the Central community. During summer months, Joe and his wife lead church camps around the state of Iowa, many of which minister to disadvantaged youth who have parents in prison. In his spare time, Joe enjoys reading, refinishing furniture, and playing with his grandchildren.
Worship/Ministry Teams Coordinator
Nick Rohner is in his third year as the worship/ministry team coordinator in Campus Ministries for the 2012-2013 academic year. A Central College ‘08 graduate, Nick worked for two years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship before joining Campus Ministries’ staff. He has three years of experience as a youth pastor and five summers of experience as a church camp counselor. Besides working in Campus Ministries, Nick is also the assistant men’s and women’s tennis coach at Central College and has received his Master’s in Coaching Education from Ohio University. In his spare time, he enjoys running, reading, playing tennis, and watching movies.
Service Coordinator/Office Manager
Sarah is in her fifth year as the service coordinator/office manager for the 2011-2012 academic year. A Central College ‘07 graduate, Sarah has eight summers of camp counselor experience and previously worked for two years at the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella, IA. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors—biking, going for walks, stargazing, and reading. She also enjoys staying well connected with her campers from summer months.
