• has had poems and reviews appear recently in The Colorado Review, The Georgia Review, and Poetry Northwest. New work is upcoming in The North American Review and The Colorado Review.  His poem, "Group Portrait with Ukuleles," was reprinted in Sonus.
• has served as a judge for creative writing contests sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Tallahasee (Florida) Writers' Association, and Beloit College.  He is one of the featured critics for the Fall 2001 Iowa Poetry Society meetings.
• is listed in Who's Who in America for 2002.
• is a member of the Central College Policy Committee.
• is a volunteer at The Work of Our Hands, a non-profit international crafts shop in Pella.
• is a member of the Pella Arts Council executive committee.
