Central College Ed/psych building under construction

You can make an $850,000 difference! How?

The Kresge Foundation approved an $850,000 Challenge Grant for the education and psychology building. Central’s vision is to challenge and nurture our students to reach their potential, while the college becomes a leader in sustainability. Kresge uses their grants to influence the quality of life for future generations by creating access and opportunity. If Central receives commitments totaling $3.6 million by Dec. 31, from a wide array of alumni and friends, it will receive the Kresge funding.

The Kresge Foundation stated, “Central College has distinguished itself as a statewide leader in sustainable design and an anchor in its small, rural community. Challenge-grant funds will support the construction of a LEED-rated classroom building, which will house its education, and psychology departments and its service-learning program.” In addition, the building will house the department of communication studies, the office of community-based learning, and the Center for Global Sustainability Education.

Your help is extremely important. Every dollar matters. Make your pledge today!
