Illustrations of AbstractAlgebra
Below are several web pages that are conversions of Mathematica notebooks that illustrate the capabilities of the AbstractAlgebra package.
- In 1997, Al Hibbard and Ellen Maycock organized an MAA Contributed Paper Session entitled Innovations in Teaching Abstract Algebra at the San Diego Joint Mathematics Meeting. There, Hibbard presented an early version of how the packages can influence creating labs for investigating abstract algebra. This is now available as an html page.
- In 1999, Al Hibbard and Ellen Maycock organized another MAA Contributed Paper Session also entitled Innovations in Teaching Abstract Algebra at the San Antonio Joint Mathematics Meeting. There, Hibbard presented an overview of our project. This is now available as an html page.
- Also at the 1999 San Antonio Joint Mathematics Meeting, Al Hibbard and Ken Levasseur were organizers of an MAA Minicourse. One notebook that was used there to illustrate various capabilities of the package is now available as an html page.
