Future plans for AbstractAlgebra
As new versions of Mathematica come out with new capabilities, we will investigate how to leverage these to help us with our AbstractAlgebra package. We also have a list of functionality that we would like to incorporate. We also are always looking for requests of functionality to include. If you have any suggestions for new functionality, please make your request known.
We have been asked numerous times whether we are ever going to port this over to Maple. At this time, the answer is NO. Too much of our code uses high-level programming constructs that simply are not available in the Maple programming language.
