The Central Fund
Central College is about creating lifelong adventures in learning, growth and service. Each day your gifts to The Central Fund provide vital, flexible resources that enable Central to pursue this mission, and in doing so, offer a balanced emphasis on the development of themind, body and spirit.
In being the College's highest priority for annual giving, the Central Fund is the means by which Central alumni, parents, trustees and friends can most effectively contribute their financial support.
What do gifts to The Central Fund support?
The Central Fund supports the day-to-day operations of the college. These gifts play an essential role in everything the college does and are often described as the greatest gifts donors can make. Gifts to the Central Fund directly support:
Student scholarships — need-based financial aid and grants
Area of greatest need — as determined by the president and senior leadership at Central including academic initiatives and student life
All of these areas are equally important and crucial to the success of attaining the mission of Central College and helping students discover and reach their highest potential.
Campaign Priority
As a key priority during the Campaign for Central, our goal is to raise $10 million over the life of the Campaign to boost annual support to a level that will assure Central College has the financial capacity and the flexibility to seize exciting opportunities, respond to unforeseen circumstances and invest in its future.
Participation is Key!
Additionally, a major goal for the Central Fund – not only during the Campaign, but also beyond – is to increase the percentage of alumni who make a gift each year. Your regular participation in contributing to the Central Fund is a powerful indicator that many granting agencies as well as ranking enterprises make special note of.
