Step Up To The Plate Project

Fundraising Goal: $157,000

The vision:

The current Dutch baseball facility was constructed in 1978 and while we have made improvements over the years, time has taken a toll on the space. The fact is we no longer compare favorably with other facilities in the league. We would like to make some upgrades so it once again can find prominence in the Iowa Conference. These upgrades would also be very beneficial in the recruitment of student athletes.

The most immediate needs include renovating and expanding the existing dugouts, creating a new back stop, installing permanent stadium seating and making the facility fully accessible. Attractive landscaping will complete the renewed facility.

This is an exciting and overdue initiative that will enhance our programs for years to come. A contribution of $1,000 will give you the opportunity to have your name or the name of your favorite Central athlete on one of the 100 stadium seats. What a great way to honor a friend or family member, and, by the way, we won’t limit you to just one! Gifts of any amount will make a difference.

We are asking for your help to continue Central’s tradition of excellence. Last spring was a super year for Central baseball with an outright 2012 Iowa Conference Championship, a 19-4 IIAC record, a 29-11 overall record, 5 all conference selections, 4 all-regional picks and IIAC and Regional Coach of the Year honors.

Please help us by sending a gift or pledge for the project. If you have questions call or email Dave Sutphen at (800)477-0287 or Thanks for your support of the Central baseball program. GO DUTCH!
