Our method for posting jobs has changed! Now Central students and alumni can access CareerLink@Central, a powerful online system that allows you to search for openings, upload and submit resumes to employers, and browse employer profiles. If you're looking for jobs nationwide, another great tool is the NACElink Extended Job Search, which plugs you into a huge national and international job database (with no junk jobs and no ads!).
To get started, just request an account by going to https://central-csm.symplicity.com/students and clicking on Alumni Registration. Once we have confirmed your status as a Cental alum, we will approve your account, and you will receive a notification email. Questions? Email careerlink@central.edu

For a vast number of years, Central College seniors have created "credential files" with the Career Center, consisting primarily of three letters of reference written by faculty, work supervisors, and school administrators/supervising teachers. For the most part, these files are no longer useful, because:
Because in the past, students were encouraged to create confidential files, we cannot simply send/give you your file. Consequently, we are requesting your permission to eliminate your credential file. As stated above, unless you have updated or used your file in the past 2-3 years, it is outdated and of little use to you in its present state.
Your credential file is not to be confused with your official college transcript. Your transcripts are a list of the courses you took and grades you received, and will always be available to you from Academic Records. More information on transcripts is available on the registrar's transcript page.
Within 3-4 years of your graduation from Central, you will likely need letters written from Central College faculty. If that is the case for you, we can both retain your file and send your reference letters to graduate schools upon your request, OR you may want to request more updated letters from previous faculty and have them sent directly by the faculty member, if confidentiality is required. (Always ask permission for a reference letter and supply writers with your resume and a stamped, addressed envelope.)
