Student Support Services
The rigors of academics are designed to provide a challenging, yet rewarding, life experience. It is the goal of Student Support Services to assist the students in achieving their educational goals and to enhance their college experiences.
Some of the services we offer to assist students include:
- College Success course for first-year students that is designed to help freshmen succeed in college
- Individual or small-group tutoring for specific needs
- Laptop checkout
- Cultural opportunities such as tickets for the Civic Center productions, visits to museums, and service trips
- Available study rooms
- Office supplies for student use such as free fax, copies, transparencies, paper cutter, three-hole punch, etc.
- Professional counseling for academic, career and personal concerns
- Preparation and visits to graduate schools
- Academic assistance through the Center for Academic Excellence
- Supplemental Instruction (SI)
- One-on-one peer tutoring
- Professional tutoring
- One day team building trip to a challenge course
- Leadership opportunities and seminars
- Grant aid and scholarship opportunities
