9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Visit the Financial Aid, Student Employment, Business Offices, and Student Development Offices as needed

Located at the corner of E 1st St and Franklin St
After you’re all moved in, take a stroll through downtown Pella and the historical village. Students and immediate family members get in free during Welcome Week with your Central ID! 
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Central Market open for lunch
Student meal plan begins, $7/person for family members and guests.
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Legacy Luncheon
Boat, Moore, Weller Rooms, Maytag Student Center, 1st floor
New students whose parents or grandparents attended Central are invited to join other legacy students and their families for lunch, which will be served promptly at 11:30 followed by a group photo for Civitas, the alumni magazine. Hosted by the Alumni Office.
1 - 2 p.m. Parent Information Session

Parents and family members of new students are invited to hear from current Central parents and President and Mrs. Putnam about transitional and academic resources available to students.
2 - 4 p.m. Root Beer Floats by the Pond
Fred's Patio, outside the Maytag Student Center
After moving in, families are invited to gather around the pond for a cool treat and the opportunity to mingle with SOS leaders and your Class Dean before the first student-only session begins.

Parents and family members say their goodbyes as students head to Douwstra Auditorium. Welcome Week is in full swing at 4 p.m. and students will become quite busy for the remainder of the weekend!

4:45 p.m. SOS Group Meeting #1

New students, join your SOS group at the conclusion of Turning Over the Class for your first opportunity to get to know fellow new students in your small groups. 
5:45 p.m. President's Picnic
President Mark Putnam and his wife Tammy invite all new students to their home for a casual dinner on the lawn. Students will travel in SOS groups to and from campus.
7:45 - 9:15 p.m. Lead Green: Growing your leadership potential with Kristin Skarie

Enjoy free snacks, have a caricature drawn with your friends, or make and take craft and novelty items back to your room. This is an open-house style event, so feel free to come and go as you please. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board.
