Women’s golf

Doyle was a team leader during an era of women’s golf dominance at Central. A four-time all-Iowa Conference pick, Doyle was the team and league MVP in 1984. She also earned a spot on the Iowa Small College Tournament team three times and the National Small College Tournament team in 1985.
Doyle was a three-year team co-captain and helped the Dutch win four league titles before graduating in 1986. In 1984 and 1985 she received the team’s Maurine Timmer Most Valuable Player Award. An Oelwein, Iowa native, Doyle spent a term of study with Central’s program in the Yucatan in Mexico. For six years she worked as an assistant researcher for Global Evangelism Movment before spending the past 11 years prior to her induction living in Pakistan and Afghanistan as an aid worker for various non-governmental organizations. She will return to Afghanistan following a sabbatical in the U.S.
