Wrestling | Oct. 25, 2013

PELLA—Central College junior Daniel Page (Tumwater, Wash.) is ranked No. 5 at 125 pounds in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III preseason rankings.

An all-Iowa Conference selection and team Most Valuable Performer, Page was an NCAA Division III tournament qualifier last season. He tallied a 26-8 overall record and was undefeated in Iowa Conference duals. Page placed second at the NCAA Division III regional and the MSOE (Wis.) Invitational and third at the Knox (Ill.) Invitational.

Page is the lone Iowa Conference wrestler ranked at 125 pounds and the only Dutch wrestler in the preseason rankings.

Five Iowa Conference schools are in the preseason team rankings. Defending champion Wartburg is the top-ranked team and has seven individually-ranked wrestlers. Luther is No. 4, Coe is No. 8, Loras is tied for 16th and Dubuque is 25th.

The Dutch take to the mat Nov. 9 at the Knox (Ill.) Invitational in Galesburg, Ill.
