Scovel, the track events performer of the week, also received MVP honors at the conference meet. He captured his second straight 100-meter dash title (10.69 seconds) and was part of the winning 4x100 (41.28) and 4x400 (3:17.32) relays. Scovel took second in the 200 meters (21.64).
