Carr joins Central wrestling staff

PELLA -Tom Carr has been named an assistant wrestling coach at Central College.

Carr has been an assistant with the Buckeye Wrestling Club in Columbus , Ohio and previously served a year as head coach at Land O' Lakes High School in Florida , guiding his squad to a top-15 state finish.

A graduate of Muskingum College ( Ohio ), Carr helped his team win the Ohio Athletic Conference title and attain a top-10 NCAA Division III ranking.

Carr, a Florida native, is also an experienced wrestling camp clinician.

"Tom comes from a Division III background but with his experience with the Buckeye Wrestling Club, he's seen some top programs at other levels and brings some different ideas," head coach Eric Reed said. "We're excited about him helping rebuild our program."
