Central coaches set public 'chalk talks'

PELLA — Central College fans have an opportunity to get updates on the Dutch through the Central Coaches’ Chalk Talks throughout the year.

Each of the in-season coaches will provide the latest information on their teams and answer questions from the audience.

Fall sports will be featured on Wednesday, Sept. 26 and Wednesday, Oct. 31 at noon in the Central Market meeting rooms. There is no charge for attendance and fans can purchase lunch through Central’s Dining Services if they wish.

Winter sports will be featured Dec. 5 and Feb. 6 with spring sports highlighted March 27 and May 1.

In addition, one evening event will be scheduled for each season, allowing a new opportunity for fans unable to attend the noon events. Interim athletics director Eric Van Kley said the dates and location for those events has not yet been set.
