Central's Wolf wins league honor
PELLA-Central College's Adam Wolf, a junior from Corning, has been named the Iowa Conference men's cross country athlete of the week.
Wolf led his squad to a first-place finish in the three-team Central Dutch Invitational Saturday at the Central cross country course. He won the 8,000-meter season-opening race in 26:22, 58 seconds better than the next runner in the 29-man field. Wolf's time was 1:34 faster than his finish on the same course a year ago.
Wolf and the Dutch have a weekend off before heading to Northfield, Minn. and the St. Olaf Invitational Sept. 17.
