Central College will play a first-round game in the Iowa Conference men’s soccer tournament Tuesday against Wartburg College in Waverly. Game time is 2 p.m. The contest will be played at Field 8 on the Waverly Soccer Complex, rather than on the Wartburg campus.
Central is the No. 6 seed in the tournament with a 3-5 league record and a 9-9 overall mark. Wartburg is 6-2 in conference play and 12-4-1 overall. The Knights edged Central 4-3 in overtime at Pella Oct. 10.
Tuesday’s winner advances to meet the No. 2 seed, the Univ. of Dubuque, in the semifinals Friday. Friday’s semifinals and Saturday’s final will be played at top-seeded Loras College in Dubuque.
It's Central's eighth straight league tournament appearance.
