Football | Oct. 5, 2009

Jarred LackeyPELLA—Central College’s steady ascent in the D3football.com top 25 poll continues.

Unranked in the preseason, the Dutch moved up another spot to No. 9 in this week’s poll following a 55-0 whitewashing of Cornell College Saturday.

The top six teams in the poll, headed by Mount Union (Ohio), are unchanged. Iowa Conference rival Wartburg is among those schools receiving votes.

The Dutch travel to Indianola Saturday for a conference game with Simpson College.
