PELLA—Central College’s Sarah Paulson (sophomore, Ottumwa) has been named the Iowa Conference women's golfer of the week.
Paulson cruised to victory in the 36-hole Central Invitational women’s golf tourney at Pella’s Bos Landen Golf Club Friday and Saturday. She fired a 79-79—158 and won by eight shots. Central was second behind Division II Truman State (Mo.) in the 11-team tourney.
It’s the fifth time that Paulson has received the league honor, after being cited four times during her freshman season when she went on to claim the Iowa Conference meet medalist crown and earned all-America distinction at the NCAA Division III tournament in May.
