PELLA—Middle hitter Lindsay Jennings (junior, Atkins, Benton HS) had 10 kills in 15 attempts as the Central College volleyball team rolled past the University of Dubuque Tuesday, 25-21, 25-18, 25-10. The Dutch (9-9 overall, 3-1 Iowa Conference) got seven kills in 10 attempts from middle hitter Sara Mouw (junior, Greene, North Butler HS) and seven kills from outside hitter Michelle Ripperger (junior, Urbandale). Setter Megan Callahan (senior, Dubuque, Wahlert HS) had 20 assists in two sets before giving way to freshman Maggie Snyder (Alexandria, Minn., Jefferson HS) who had 12 assists in the final set.
Central hit .318 overall to Dubuque’s .074 and finished the match in just 70 minutes.
The Dutch head to St. Paul, Minn. For the IIAC-MIAC Border Battle Friday and Saturday at the Univ. of St. Thomas (Minn.). Central takes on Bethel Univ. (Minn.) at 2 p.m. Friday and the College of St. Benedict (Minn.) at 6 p.m. Saturday Central faces Concordia-Moorhead (Minn.) at 11 a.m. and St. Thomas (Minn.) at 3 p.m.
