Oct. 2, 2008Central falls to Neb. Wesleyan 5-0
LINCOLN, NEB.—The Central College women’s soccer team failed to score a goal in its 5-0 loss to Nebraska Wesleyan Thursday night.
Offensive chances were few for the Dutch, who were outshot by Nebraska Wesleyan 23-3.
Goalkeepr Abby Norman (freshman, Geneseo, Ill.) recorded nine saves, while Central was led offensively by midfielder Jenna Hindman (junior, Swisher, Iowa, Cedar Rapids Prairie) who took two shots and midfielder Kristi Klatt (sophomore, Cedar Falls, Iowa) who recorded Central’s only shot on goal.
Central (1-9 overall, 0-1 conference) will begin a stretch of seven straight Iowa Conference games against Luther (4-3-2 overall, 0-0-1 conference) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Decorah. Central won their match against Luther last season 1-0 in double overtime.
