Sept. 10, 2008Women's team falls 7-0 to Grinnell
PELLA—The Central College College women’s soccer team fell behind early and were unable to get back in the game, falling 7-0 to Grinnell College on Wednesday night.
In the second half, the Dutch (1-3) allowed only one goal and goalkeeper Abigayle Norman (freshman, Geneseo, Ill.) recorded four saves, but Grinnell’s six goals had already taken them out of the game.
Forward Miki Nakamura led the way for Grinnell (3-1) scoring two goals, and midfielder Lara Meyer had three assists.
The Dutch will return to action at the A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex field on Saturday against Monmouth (Ill.) at 1 p.m.
