May 5, 2008Central’s Hutchinson wins league honors
PELLA—Central College’s Kari Hutchinson (senior, Charles City) received Iowa Conference honors Monday.
Hutchinson was tabbed the women’s outdoor track and field performer of the week after winning the conference heptathlon at Waverly Friday and Saturday with an NCAA Division III meet provisional-qualifying mark of 4,310 points.
In March, Hutchinson received all-America honors at the NCAA Division III indoor meet in March, helping the Dutch place eighth in the 4x400-meter relay team.
Hutchinson and the Central track and field teams return to Waverly Friday and Saturday for the remainder of the men’s and women’s Iowa Conference championship meets.
