May 4, 2008Dutch sweep to gain tourney berth
DUBUQUE--Central entered the weekend needing to sweep three games at Dubuque to secure the final spot in the six-team Iowa Conference baseball tournament that starts Thursday in Cedar Rapids. Central did just that, closing with a 7-2 and 9-6 sweep of the Spartans Sunday. Central will take on No. 3 seed Coe College in an opening-round game Thursday at 1 p.m. at Veterans Stadium in Cedar Rapids. STORY TO COME
