WAVERLY—Central College’s Nicole Wenstrand (freshman, Essex) shot an 88 and is tied for 19th after one round of the Wartburg Spring Invitational women’s golf tourney.
The 36-hole tourney concludes Sunday at the par-72 Centennial Oaks Golf Course. Central stands 10th in the 11-team field at 383. Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) leads at 329 with Wis.-Eau Claire next at 335.
Allison Crooks (freshman, Moline, Ill.) shot 95 while Jordan Williams (junior, Pella) shot 99, Eva Downes (sophomore, Woodstock, Ill., Marian Catholic Central HS) had 101 and Janelle Stevens (freshman, West Bend, West Bend-Mallard HS) had 103.
