Wis.-River Falls advances in extra innings
PELLA, IOWA—Second baseman Hayley Buchanan of Wis.-River Falls delivered the two-run game-winning double in the ninth inning as the Falcons edged No. 19 Coe College, 3-1, in an elimination game at the NCAA Division III Pella, Iowa Softball Regional Sunday.

Wis.-River Falls (33-14) also defeated the Kohawks (36-13) Saturday, 2-0. The Falcons come back right away to play No. 6 Luther College and must defeat the Norse twice to to win the regional and move on to the national finals in Salem, Va.

Buchanan belted the game-winning shot to right center, driving in left fielder Jessie Bester and third baseman Sarah Bohlen. Wis.-River Falls notched its first run in the sixth when center fielder Amanda Ryder punched a double to left center to score shortstop Lily Buckey.

Rose Tusa tossed the complete game for Wis.-River Falls and improved to 25-7. She allowed four hits and one earned run, striking out five and walking one.

Coe's Ashlee Simon (22-6) took the loss. She pitched the complete game and yielded nine hits and three earned runs. She struck out 10 and walked two.

Luther (39-6) won a 1-0 pitcher's dual over Wis.-River Falls Saturday night.
