Wis.-River Falls hurler Tusa blanks Coe
PELLA, IOWA—Wis.-River Falls rode the right arm of pitcher Rose Tusa through the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conferenc tourney last weekend and is doing the same thus far in the NCAA Division III Pella, Iowa Softball Regional. Tusa subdued Coe College with her second straight shutout, 2-0.

The Falcons (32-13) advance to meet Luther College in a winners’ bracket game at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Tusa tossed a three hitter and again carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning. The Kohawks had runners on first and second base with one out in the sixth but Tusa used a couple of force outs to end the threat.

Wis.-River Falls scored both of its runs in the third inning when designated player Abbie Morris rifled a two-run hit into left field.

Coe (35-12) comes back right away with an elimination game against Central.
