Men's golf at NCAA tourney: Wed., Central tied for 13th, advances to final 36 holes
EAU CLAIRE, WIS.--It took eight hard-fought innings before the big bats of No. 5 Texas-Tyler were able to escape the Central College softball team Saturday, 5-4, at the NCAA Division III finals.
DESTIN, FLA. — After a four-day NCAA Division III national tournament, the Central College men’s golf team continued to improve, shaved three strokes off its day-three score and placed 12th overall in an original 41-team field Friday.
PELLA—Central College’s Eli Horton and Eric Larson are the Division III Central Region’s outdoor track events and field events athletes of the year, while Joe Dunham was named men’s coach of the year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Central College is one of eight sites playing host to the NCAA Division III regional softball championships.
