Central's Horton top freshman NCAA finisher
WINNECONNE, WIS.--Spurred on by an aggressive start in the biggest race of his young career, Central College's Eli Horton was the top freshman at the NCAA Division III men's cross country championships Saturday. Horton capped a phenomenal rookie campaign by finishing 52nd in a 280-runner field, covering the 8,000-meter course in 24:57.81.
