Why Central?
I chose Central for a lot of different reasons, but the main reason is I wanted to be part of a tradition and family that is great in so many ways. I remember when I came on my visit and ate lunch with some guys on the football team; they were all offensive and defensive lineman. They just seemed to be on another level of friendship that I had rarely experienced. Coming to Central is the best decision I have made in my life because I became part of a campus and team that truly cares about each other.

You are majoring in Communication Studies because…
I think the ways in which people communicate are some of the most important skills in the world to understand. We all use these skills everyday and it is amazing the things I have learned about how people use communication.

Who is your favorite professor?
My favorite professor is Linda Laine (Communication Studies). I think she is always fair and even though her classes are sometimes tough, they are always fun and insightful.

What was your favorite class?
My favorite class so far at Central has been Environmental Communications with Professor McGrath. I am very interested in both communication studies and sustainability and this course investigated both of these fields and how they interrelate.

What is the best part about your work study job in the sports information office?
The best part about being an A-teamer in the sports information office is being keeping informed about the rest of the sports teams on campus. I love going to the sporting events on campus and working in the sports information office makes it easier to keep up with how all the teams are doing.

What do you love most about being a member of the Central Dutch football team?
The best part of being on the football team is knowing that there are a hundred and some guys out there that you can call your brother, because we go through all the ups and downs together.

What is the best thing about being a wide receiver?
The best thing about being a receiver is having the chance to make big plays both catching the ball and blocking for big runs.

Why do you go by Keegan (first name is Charles)?
I go by Keegan because there have been many Charles Frisch before me in my family lineage. My dad’s name is also Charles and he goes by Kevin (his middle name).

What is the best touchdown celebration ever?
The best touchdown celebration in the world is when you jump up in the air and pump one fist to the sky simultaneously.

And which teammate is most likely to do the aforementioned touchdown celebration?
Grant McArdle is most likely to do this…because I have been asking him to do it for a while now.

What is one thing people do not know about wide receivers coach Jeff Bollard?
Some days Coach Bollard is very, very (I mean VERY) hyper. I don’t know what it is, but it seems like once a week he comes to practice and acts as if he just downed five Mountain Dews.

What is your favorite activity to do in your free time and why?
My favorite activity is fishing, because it is relaxing and there’s the thrill of knowing that at any time you may just land a lunker (definition: an exceptionally large specimen of something, in particular [among anglers] a fish) is exciting.

What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be a Division III head football coach.

What is your favorite NFL team and why?
The Chicago Bears.  I was born into a Chicago sports family, but I love the Bears because of all the history. They have the most players in the Hall of Fame and were one of the first teams to play professional football. I love learning about all the past players like Dick Butkus, Walter Payton and Mike Ditka.

Who is your favorite NFL player and why?
Larry Fitzgerald (wide receiver, Arizona Cardinals). He is arguably the best receiver in the league and has been for a long time now. He never complains about playing on teams that are not usually very successful and still goes out every day trying to make himself and his team better.

Who is the one person, past or present, that you’d like to have lunch with and why?
One person I would like to have lunch with is Steve Kerr, a shooting guard for the Chicago Bulls from 1993-98. I think it would be fascinating to hear from him what it was like playing on some of the best teams to every play. He is also one of my favorite players ever.
