Hometown: Centerville, Iowa

High School: Centerville

Why Central?
It was either Central or Iowa State University, at Iowa State it probably would have been better for me education wise, however, I would have had a much harder time being successful at track. At Central though I could and have worked towards my education goals as well as work up to, meet and exceed my track goals. So it was the 2 for 1 that really made Central my choice.

Best class you’ve ever taken and why
Probably the Analog/Digital Electronics class, it was lab intensive, and I really enjoy working with my hands, it also had a lot of real world application to it as well.

Favorite Central memory
My whole junior year I would have to say as I did not have a huge work load, lived with all my friends and had great times, and track went extremely well.

You’re majoring in physics because…
It is the closest thing to engineering Central has, but I will also get a physics degree along with my engineering degree which is nice.

What you like best about the track and field coaches
They are super easy to get along with and they are also open to suggestions when it comes to training so, if needed, you can get a more personalized workout.

Thing you’re most excited about for the outdoor season
I am excited to see if I can meet or exceed the goals I have set for myself for the outdoor season.

Favorite part of practice
The workout, it hurts sometimes, but no pain, no gain.

Top travel destination, past or future
I have never been overseas, so I would like to visit and experience all that it has to offer.

Dream job
Head testing engineer for an automotive company.

Best advice ever received from a coach
Run faster.

Thing you like best about your team
We are a great big family, we joke, we win, we lose, we sacrifice, we train, men and women, and we do it all together.

Person past or present you’d like to have lunch with
Any of my family members.

Favorite TV show
Right now it would have to be Arrow or Top Gear.

The best part about competing in an NCAA national meet
When the race is done and you realized that you are amongst the top 8 in the nation for that event, it is a very awesome and amazing experience.

Bucket list
Too many things to list here but some would be:
Skydiving
Cage Diving with Sharks
Fly a Fighter Jet
