Hometown: Austin, Minn.
High School: Austin
The rich golfing tradition that Central has brought me to Central but then after being here for a year the great education that you get and overall friendliness of everyone on campus just made it that much better.
Your favorite professor and why
Andrew Campbell, he teaches the practical things that can be used in life and not just in the classroom.
The thing you like best about your team
The pure competitiveness of the team as well as how close most of us all are. You can’t go anywhere on campus without seeing at least a couple of us together. It’s almost like a second family to me.
Best golf course you’ve ever played
Hazeltine National Golf Club, had the privilege of playing the course two weeks before the 2009 PGA Championship
Favorite golf movie
Of course it's Happy Gilmore
Person past or present you’d like to have lunch with
All-time favorite hockey player
Zach Parise – Not just because he’s on the WILD
Golf ritual, habit or superstition
I have a habit of going for the big shot, that once in a hundred shot that often never works out but when it does it is awesome. Usually gets me in trouble but Go Low or Go Home right?
The thing you love about golf
I love the fact that it’s one of those sports that I can play till I die as well as the fact that it’s just me against the course and no one else. The golf course is the place I feel most comfortable.
“This season I hope that…”
This season is sadly my last. I hope to make the conference team and earn a spot in the national championship in Florida. I also want to win at least one tournament this spring.
Your first CD
Eiffel 65 best song ever “I’m Blue”
Worst job you’ve ever had
I wouldn’t say I’ve ever had a bad job, but while working at Hy-Vee getting carts in the parking lot with 12 inches of snow in it wasn’t too fun.
Favorite Central memory
There are many but I’d have to say spring break my freshman year in Phoenix with the golf team. That week was awesome, playing lots of golf and getting my first hole-in-one of my life. One of those weeks that I’ll always remember.
The thing you’re most excited about for the spring break trip to Florida
The golf obviously! But laying on the beach watching the waves crash in from the ocean will be relaxing and a great way to start the year. As I have never seen the Atlantic before this will be a first so I’m pretty pumped for that.
Seeing at least one Minnesota professional sports team win a championship (Wild, Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves)
Getting to play Augusta national
Playing St. Andrews in Scotland with my father
