Hometown: Arvada, Colo.
High School: Saint Mary's Academy
I knew I wanted to go to a small school and I loved the volleyball team. It just seemed to fit best.
Favorite professor and why
Dennis Doyle. He has been my advisor and professor every semester since I came in and he is always so helpful. I know he wants me to succeed in the future.
You’re majoring in communications because…
I want to go into journalism or public relations. It’s a major that I can do a lot with, which will come in handy because I change my mind a lot.
Favorite Central memory
Studying abroad in London for sure. I had an awesome internship with a magazine and got to travel all over Europe. It was an experience I will never forget.
Person past or present you’d like to have lunch with
Elvis Presley. I am obsessed with the 1950s and idolize him as the King of rock and roll. I would love to spend some time looking ‘cough’-whoops, talking with him.
TV show you can’t get enough of
Cheesy as it is I can’t get enough of Glee. I sometimes wish my life was a musical.
Why you love Central volleyball
We are more than just a team, we really are a tight knit family. Both on and off the court everyone wants you to succeed. We work hard but also have fun and take the time to be a blessing to others.
What you like best about this year’s team
Losing almost all of your senior starters can be a daunting idea but this team has taken the opportunity to grow and step up to the plate. The girls are all really fun and have positive attitudes-the sky is the limit!
What most people don’t know about Coach Kent Clayberg
He secretly wants to be a Broncos fan but he won’t admit it :)
Word or phrase you use too much
For some reason in the past I got in the habit of saying ‘leggo’ like I’m a gangster or something, which I am obviously not.
Favorite boy band
While studying abroad in London I became obsessed with One Direction.
Teammate most likely to dominate “Minute to Win It”
I would say Emily Huegel. When she’s focused nothing can get in her head, and she’s got little quick hands that would be good for the tasks.
The best part about being a middle hitter
You get to run all the fast and fun sets, and sometimes people are intimidated by you.
Travel to all 50 states by the time I’m 50
Get on a JumboTron
Eat sushi in Japan
Go to Australia and ask people where 42 Wallaby Way Sydney is
