Why Central? 
It gave me an opportunity to excel in academics and athletics while meeting some of my greatest friends.

Best class you’ve ever taken and why 
World War II in the Pacific: The information was exciting and we went to a shooting range to shoot guns like the Tommy Gun, M1 Garand, and a 25 Caliber Machine Gun!

You’re majoring in history and secondary education because… 
Learning history is like one epic story, so it is always exciting. And doing education will allow me to help secondary students prepare for college and life. I want to make a difference in students’ lives. 

Favorite athletics memory 
Winning 5 team conference championships and going for our 6th in our 8 seasons. 

Top travel destination, past or future 
The Swiss Alps

Taking a nap. I love taking a 25 minute nap before I compete to relax my body.

The best part about competing in an NCAA national meet 
Realizing that you are competitive with some of the best athletes in the nation. That is exhilarating.

Allen Scovel

A cedar chest that I built in high school. 

What you like best about Central’s coaches 
Knowledgeable; if I have a question about our training, I get an in-depth answer which helps me understand the sport better.

Sam Clark, my father-in-law

Your best sport other than track 
Bags (A.K.A. Cornhole)

Bucket list
