The Central College athletic training education program was granted initial accreditation in 2004 and reaccreditation by CAATE in 2010.

Mission statement

The mission of the athletic training education program is to provide educational experiences in collaboration with health professionals and faculty, enabling students to master competencies and clinical proficiencies to become professional entry-level athletic trainers. Athletic training education occurs within a liberal arts framework that encourages and supports integrity, safety, respect, responsiveness and energy. The student's mind, body and spirit are enriched intellectually through interactions with staff, faculty, mentors and health care professionals. This occurs within the Central community and via local, state, national and international experiences.
